We ordered a carrot cake for my husband’s birthday. It was super yummy. Light and well balanced. We really enjoyed it. We also loved the quality of the decoration, just as we ordered. Definitely recommended and we will be a returning customer.

We ordered the 8" Durian Cake and it’s by far the best durian cake in town! The flavor was rich, the cake was moist, and the sweetness level was just perfect. Everyone loved it. We’ve also tried several other flavors before, and they’ve all been consistently delicious. Highly recommend!

This is the best bakery in all of Houston! I have nothing but great things to say about their cakes, macaroons, baked goods, coffee, and matcha. They have very friendly staff, and all of the things I have ordered have exceeded my expectations. One of the staff members, named Ava, is super helpful and makes coming into the shop a treat. Mrs. Peggy is also an amazing cake designer and makes the most intricate and beautiful designs I have ever seen on a cake. I highly recommend that you check out La Plume Bakery and try some of their specialties!

We worked with La Plume for our wedding cake. They were easy to communicate with and were generous with their time when we met with Peggy for the tasting/consultation. Peggy showed us several model sizes to help us visualize the cake and answered all our questions about stability and delivery (which was seamless). While all the flavors we tried were delicious, the pandan coconut was our favorite for the wedding. We even over-ordered a bigger cake against our planner's recommendations but ended up with nothing left over because everyone wanted more. We are weeks past the wedding now but are still getting messages from our guests about how good the cake was and that they haven't been able to stop thinking about it! We are so pleased we picked La Plume for such an important day; it really turned out wonderfully and we highly recommend.

Summary: Pricey but beautiful cakes, don't expect it to taste good every time, and if you do choose to order? Go in store, to avoid any confusion on price or design. You can read more about my personal experience below. (this is not an attack at any one person, this is just my personal experience) I want to start by saying that up to now, everyone in my family have had nothing but amazing things to say about La Plume. Their drinks and flavor profiles are always exactly what they describe and are delicious. My recent order with La Plume, displayed a flip in service, and cake quality and as a result, I will no longer be a customer with them. Let's talk about my recent experience: Cake Itself: 6 in Matcha Cake, with chocolate filling and vintage design: $75 (Picked up at 4:00 pm, Eaten at 7:00 pm) I ordered a custom happy birthday cake, and the exterior was beautiful, stunning really, which is amazing since I stated it was for a photoshoot. BUT! The quality of the cake, was really dense, dry, and lacked flavor. I could not believe this was a La Plume cake. No one wanted to eat the cake, and out of the small 6 inch cake, only half was eaten by the eight people present after the ph
